It seems like it might be SpikeTV pushing this more than the UFC. They put a lot of work into this I’m sure as well as sold advertising slots (although, if I were an advertiser I’d be pissed if this didn’t warrant a refund).

I agree, it’s beyond ridiculous… but I just can’t see the UFC wanting to make themselves look bad, so I disagree with Jesse that they are responsible for airing this.

i’m gonna watch this if for no other reason than to see dana train, i want to see how he looks in sparring or whatever, i got a lot of respect for the guy and want to see if he can throw…also i want to see if they try to make tito look bad for backing out, its understandable if they do because it was his idea, but he had some good reasons not too, he is a professional and exhibition or not he should get paid, especially if they were gonna air it on spike, and he should have at least been given one commercial or something for punishment athletics, i like both guys, i’ll consider it like a inside the ufc or one of those rachelle leah things, it should be cool…

I watched the first 45mins of it lastnight. Alot of good info, Spike and the UFC made it more of a backround with Tito and Dana then it was Tito Vs. Dana. Overall I think they still did it with integrity… but Tito just continues to make bad career choices after another. And Tito’s ex wife is pretty damn hot… Id take her over a thin and scaley Jenna anyday.

Tito Ortiz made the worst choice he could have, not showing.
How many fighters fight when shit’s not going perfect in their lives or they have injuries.
The odds would be on Tito winning and Dana White was still willing to throw down. The thought of looking bad against Dana was enough to make Ortiz go back on his word. Ortiz “was” a good fighter but he never had any honor.
Dana jumped through hoops to put this thing together while trying to maintain a fighters routine…..I’m fuckin blown away by this, I hope we never see Tito Ortiz again in this sport.

This was all for show. Why else would they put the hour or 2 hour(can’t remember)show of Dana training and Ortiz backing out on TV unless they wanted to build Hype. I think they will end of fighting because of this but with UFC rules not boxing.

I watched the show on Spike - all hype, no show. Yes, it’s true - Tito wussed out at the last second. Can’t you guys see it? He’s washed up in UFC - nobody likes his loud mouth cockyness, only wants to fight for a belt (which we all know, Ice Man will win - he’s won twice against Tito) - and Tito’s wife is controlling his career now. She’s got the scent of $$ in her sights and if it doesn’t fit into her budget, Tito doesn’t do it. And I’ll agree with some of you above - the UFC is turning to be like WWE - all entertainment. Take Pride fighting for example - that is still a true sport bringing in competitors from all over the globe. UFC is just entertainment now and big $$ floating around (props to Dana for bring in major $$ to the UFC, but no props for making a mockery of the true MMA sport and turning the UFC into a remake of the WWE).

If we see a fight between Dana and Tito - cool, it’ll be fun to watch - but I’m not holding my breath.

I agree tito made a mistake on how he pulled out. This is a business so in the end it was not a smart move for him. I’m sure the details were never ironed out, therefore resulting in a cancelled fight. They still got everybody to watch the bad blood episode and they never layed hands on eachother. That’s product!

Also think about this, it is in titos contract that they spar and they didn’t so their will be a rematch of some sort
